Acta Physica Polonica B

Acta Physica Polonica B is a periodical that continues the tradition of Acta Physica Polonica, one of the first scientific journals published in Poland after it regained independence in 1918. It was first published in 1920 by the Polish Physical Society. In 1970 it was divided into two series: "A" and "B".

Acta Physics Polonica covers such areas as: elementary particles theory, field theory, nuclear physics, relativity theory and statistical physics. The journal is published in English by the Jagiellonian University. It is world renowned and is subscribed by many  scientific centres both in Poland and abroad. The electronic version of the journal, available online, also enjoys great popularity.

Acta Physica Polonica B is among the few Polish scientific periodicals present on the ISI Master Journal List, on which the citation index of the Institute of Scientific Information is based.

The rank of the journal is reflected in the membership of its International Editorial Board: one of its long-time members Martinus Veltman received Nobel Prize in 1999. Besides, many other Nobel-prize winners in physics are among the contributors to Acta Physica Polonica B.
