INFRASTARt

On 28 September 2021, a funding agreement was signed for the project Maintenance of the Jagiellonian University's research infrastructure created from the funds of Priority II of the Operational Programme Innovative Economy 2007- 2013. The project will be implemented in the years 2021 - 2024 with funds from the Infrastart programme supervised by the National Centre for Research and Development.

Under the Programme, JU research units receive support for the maintenance of research infrastructure, which will translate into the development of their scientific and commercial activities.

The Jagiellonian University project envisages support for the research infrastructure of the following OP IE projects:

  1. Investigating systems at the atomic scale: science for an innovative economy, contract no. POIG.02.01.00-12-023/08-10 implemented by the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University and the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University;
  2. Małopolska Biotechnology Centre, contract no. POIG.02.01.00-12-167/08-13 implemented by Małopolska Biotechnology Centre;
  3. Jagiellonian Centre for the Development of Medicines, contract no. POIG.02.02.00-00-014/08-10 implemented by the Jagiellonian Centre for the Development of Medicines (JCET);
  4. Molecular biotechnology for health, contract no. POIG.02.01.00-12-064/08-13 implemented by the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University.

Project funding is awarded according to a special algorithm, which is based, among other things, on the value of project revenues generated and the value of R&D projects carried out in cooperation with foreign entities.
