Physics

Doctoral students of physics at the Jagiellonian University take part in scientific research conducted by their academic supervisors and are treated as regular members of research teams. Each PhD student can choose a supervisor that is an expert in the student's field of interest and have the full attention of his or her mentor, participating in world-class reserach projects.

Doctoral students can participate in both local, national and international projects as well as submit local and national grant applications. All doctoral seminars and courses could be held in English.

The vast majority of the doctoral students of physics receive a doctoral fellowship, which enables them to devote most of their time to scientific activities and complete the programme of studies in four years.
